THE RESTORED DUGALICA MOSQUE REUNITED WITH ITS CONGREGATION

The Dugalica Mosque, which was completely destroyed down to its foundations during the Bosnian War, has been rebuilt in faithful accordance with its original architecture through restoration works initiated by our Directorate General in 2023.

The mosque, which was restored, has been reopened for worship within the scope of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Waqf Days, with the participation of our Director General, Mr. Sinan Aksu; the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Sarajevo, Mr. Emin Akseki; the Deputy Grand Mufti of the Islamic Community of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Enes Ljevaković; Metropolitan Dimitrije of Zahumlje and Herzegovina; the Mufti of Mostar, Mr. Salem Dedović; the Director of Foundations in Sarajevo, Mr. Hüso Salihović; and the Mayor of Nevesinje, Mr. Milenko Avdalović.
