A MEETING OF MONTENEGRIN STUDENTS WITH WAQF HERITAGE
As part of the sixth edition of our “Dream, Discover, Dedicate” project, organized by our Directorate General to convey the centuries-old legacy of waqf culture to young generations, we met with 16 students from Montenegro in Istanbul and Bursa.
From Bezmialem Valide Sultan Waqf University to the Eyüp Mihrişah Sultan Soup Kitchen (Imaret), and from Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque and Süleymaniye Mosque to several other waqf mosques, the program offered a rich and inspiring journey—leaving behind powerful frames filled with meaningful stories.
Through the field experiences carried out within the program, the students embraced the spirit of the imaret tradition, the consciousness of heritage preservation, and the values of solidarity, all of which found a lasting place in their hearts.
